The team is made up of six male practitioners working together to deliver comprehensive health care to men.
Studies show that men are at a higher risk of disease or death than women in most facets of health and they are less likely to seek help for their problems.
In 2002 the World Health Organization (WHO) released the Madrid Statement, which recognized the importance of gender equity:
“to achieve the highest standard of health, health policies have to recognize that women and men, owing to their biological differences and their gender roles, have different needs, obstacles and opportunities…”(1)
How can acupuncture improve men's health?
Acupuncture and life style changes can make significant improvements to most men’s health issues, and restore fuller lives to men.
Anthony assists men with a variety of health issues. From his clinical experience, he has found success in the treatment of:
- sexual health issues (erectile dysfunction)
- contemporary health issues, such as obesity, metabolic syndrome and unresolved stress affecting men’s work and sex lives.
- fertility problems
- urinary problems resulting from prostatitis.
- arthritis, joint reconstruction (knee, hip, ankle),
- gout
- insomnia
- fatty liver
- skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis
- mental health issues: Anthony has worked as a facilitator in men’s groups for men suffering from depression and anxiety disorders. He has seen the benefits of providing complementary energetic modalities such as acupuncture with forms of psychotherapy.
